Felony Offenses in the Texas Penal Code

Texas law contains more than a thousand crimes which are scattered throughout dozens of codes. These are the felony offenses in the Texas Penal Code. These felony crimes are those criminal acts which can be punished by a year or more in prison. These felony crimes are found in a variety of areas of Texas law, not just the Penal Code. The traditional crimes are found in the Penal Code. Nearly all the other section of Texas law defines criminal acts.
